- Support the commissioning-to-operations handover process from an owner’s perspective, including attendance at FAT/SAT milestones, O&M manual review, SCADA integration verification, operational readiness reviews, and grid integration testing, ensuring all documentation, training materials, spares strategies, cybersecurity controls and emergency procedures are complete and fit for operations.
- Work with delivery teams and the EPC/O&M provider to ensure defects are captured, allocated, rectified and tracked through to final completion and operational handover.
- Contribute to asset lifecycle planning, including end-of-warranty reviews, augmentation planning, major maintenance forecasting and reinvestment planning.
Asset Performance, Safety and Compliance
- Lead owner-side HSE governance for the Bulabul 1 asset, including conducting periodic site safety reviews, maintaining HSE reporting to internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with applicable WHS legislation, safety codes, and emergency response protocols.
- Monitor, analyse and report on the technical and operational performance of Bulabul 1, including availability, reliability, energy yield, round-trip efficiency and degradation metrics.
- Develop and maintain the owner-side asset management plan, risk register and lifecycle plan for Bulabul 1, and review the EPC/O&M provider’s maintenance strategy for alignment with contractual, warranty and performance requirements.
- Lead owner-side defect, incident, warranty and non-conformance management, including oversight of investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective action tracking and close-out.
- Ensure owner obligations are identified and met and oversee the EPC/O&M provider’s compliance with contractual obligations, grid connection requirements, applicable legislation, safety codes and relevant technical standards.
- Support operational budgeting, forecasting, outage planning and performance improvement initiatives that optimise asset returns, manage degradation risk and reduce whole-of-life operating cost.
O&M, Contractor and Stakeholder Management
- Manage the EPC/O&M provider and relevant suppliers from an owner’s perspective, including mobilisation, KPI and service level monitoring, contract administration, claims interface and periodic business reviews.
- Coordinate with the EPC/O&M provider and internal stakeholders to ensure defect rectification, maintenance scopes and site access arrangements are planned, executed and closed out safely and in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Work closely with internal teams across Asset Management, Finance, Procurement and Legal to ensure clear accountability and efficient issue resolution.
- Provide clear asset performance reporting, escalation pathways and decision support to internal stakeholders, lenders, investors and other relevant external parties.
- Maintain positive relationships with landowners, grid authorities, regulators, OEMs and community stakeholders relevant to the Bulabul 1 asset.
- Oversee owner-side insurance management, including evidencing compliance with insurance covenants under the project finance facility (property damage, business interruption, public and products liability), coordinating renewals, and managing claims processes.
Offtake Compliance and Revenue Optimisation
- Work collaboratively with the Trading and Operations team to define and maintain the functional interface between Asset Management and Trading and Operations ensuring dispatch strategy is aligned with offtake obligations, warranty and degradation thresholds, and agreed merchant exposure parameters.
- Identify and flag any operational event — including outages, curtailment, degradation, or dispatch constraints — that could trigger performance shortfalls, liquidated damages provisions, or breach notifications under either offtake agreement.
Reporting and Analytics
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, safety and asset performance, including optimisation of availability, round trip efficiency, degradation, augmentation strategy and maintenance timing.
- Lead improvements in asset monitoring systems, SCADA/data flows, dashboards, performance metrics and defect/case management processes.
- Generate regular operational and governance reports including performance dashboards, availability metrics, battery health indicators, market impact summaries and cost tracking.
- Maintain accurate asset records including maintenance logs, compliance records, incident reports and O&M documentation.
Lender and Investor Compliance
- Coordinate with the lenders’ independent technical advisor (ITA), including preparation of quarterly technical reports, facilitation of site access, notifications in respect of major maintenance events, and management of consent thresholds under the project finance facility.
- Monitor and promptly escalate any operational event or condition that may constitute a technical default, trigger a debt service lock-up mechanism, or otherwise affect compliance with project finance covenants.
